About the Role

JDInet is hiring a Level 2 IT Support Technician to support managed IT services operations across the Minneapolis service area. This is a hands-on technical role focused on resolving day-to-day support issues, maintaining client environments, and operating independently across small to mid-sized business systems.

Requirements

The position requires strong troubleshooting capability, ownership of work, and the ability to resolve most Level 1/2 issues without supervision. The ideal candidate is a self-sufficient operator who can manage workload, communicate clearly with clients, and escalate only when necessary.


JDInet is looking for a Level 2 IT Support Technician with 4–7+ years of relevant IT support experience, ideally within an MSP environment.


Base / Minimum Qualifications


  • 4–7+ years of experience in IT support or MSP environments 

  • Strong troubleshooting across Windows-based systems and user environments 

  • Experience with Microsoft 365 (user administration, email, permissions) 

  • Ability to independently manage workload and priorities 

  • Proven ability to resolve issues without step-by-step guidance 

  • Strong communication and customer service skills 


Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience working in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment 

  • Familiarity with PSA tools (e.g., Autotask or similar) 

  • Experience with RMM tools and endpoint management platforms 

  • Basic networking knowledge (routing, switching, troubleshooting) 

  • Exposure to backup, security, and monitoring solutions 


Certifications (Required or Preferred)


  • Relevant IT certifications (CompTIA or similar) preferred but not required 


Compensation Details


  • Base salary range of $55K–$75K depending on experience and capability 

  • Bonus opportunities 

  • PTO, 401k, and full benefits package 


Additional Requirements


  • Based in the Minneapolis service area 

  • Regular in-office presence expected 

  • Ability to travel locally for onsite client support 


Role Expectations (2026)


  • Independently resolve the majority of Level 1/2 support tickets 

  • Operate with minimal oversight in daily service delivery 

  • Maintain high responsiveness and client satisfaction 

  • Contribute to stable, well-maintained client environments 

  • Support operational efficiency and scalability
